Issues

Taxes: We need to keep taxes low, especially during economic downturns, so people can keep more of what they earn and have an incentive to succeed.

Tax Abatements: I believe the Council should revisit our restrictive tax abatement ordinance, which currently acts as a big red flag for site selectors, so St. Joseph County can remain competitive in drawing new businesses to our community.

Land Use: Whenever contentious land use issues come up, I always try to foster communication so everyone involved can, hopefully, achieve a win-win solution.

Pro-Life: I am strongly pro-life and will seek to further a culture of life on the County Council whenever possible.

Second Amendment: I fully support the individual right to bear arms found in the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.  I have helped gun owners obtain proper permits so they can pursue lawful and safe gun-related business ventures in our County.
