Meet Dan
Dan was born and raised on the south side of South Bend. He loved growing up in the Michiana area: baling hay, working summers at Kroger, playing basketball and softball, and going to Notre Dame games. In college he earned a degree in social studies education and then went on to live and work in our nation’s capital, where he observed the legislative process first-hand and became familiar with many of the crucial issues facing our nation.
After moving back to Indiana, Dan began working as a consultant and ran for Indiana State Representative in House District 7 in 2008. After the election, Dan became a board member for Indiana Schools of Excellence which started a new charter school in South Bend.
On January 23, 2010, Dan was elected by a party caucus to the St. Joseph County Council succeeding a retiring Dennis Schafer. Currently, Dan is earning a law degree while representing District F on the Council.
Dan attended Community Baptist Christian Schools from kindergarten through high school and is currently a member of Community Baptist Church.
