IN School Scholarship Tax Credit Plan Goes to House

A proposal by Sen. Carlin Yoder to create a tax credit for contributions to scholarship organizations that allow needy parents to put their kids in schools that best meet their needs goes to the State House.

The Indiana Senate has passed Senate Bill 528, the Indiana School Scholarship Tax Credit plan, on a bipartisan vote of 35-15. The bill has now moved to the Indiana House of Representatives for action and has been assigned to the House Ways and Means Committee. Phone calls, email and letters to state representatives from constituents in support of SB 528 will really make a difference.
