Dan Herbster Announces Endorsements from Indiana Right to Life, American Family Association of Indiana, and Citizens for Community Values; and Calls for Putting Hoosier Families First During Economic Uncertainty

On Tuesday, October 7, Kevin Mitschelen and Dan Herbster, Republican candidates for State Representative in House Districts Six and Seven respectively, announced that Indiana Right to Life, the American Family Association of Indiana, and Citizens for Community Values have endorsed their candidacies for the Indiana House of Representatives.  They also spoke out about the need to defend Hoosier families in the state legislature.

Dan Herbster issued the following statements:

I am honored and humbled to receive the endorsement of Indiana Right to Life for my “commitment to legislation that respects and promotes the sanctity of human life, including the lives of unborn children.”  Seeing the obstruction of the current House leadership on crucial pro-life issues has been huge frustration for me, and, if elected, I will push to make sure that Indiana law reflects true justice by recognizing the inalienable rights of all people, including unborn human beings.

I am also honored to receive the endorsements of the American Family Association of Indiana and Citizens for Community Values.  The family is the bedrock foundation of civilization, and I appreciate the work these organizations do for Hoosier families.

Another example of obstruction by the current House leadership is the way our proposed state marriage protection amendment was handled.  If elected, I will insist that this important measure gets a fair vote in the House and that Hoosiers have the opportunity to express their opinions on the definition of marriage at the ballot box.

Defending Hoosier families is especially important in uncertain economic times.  This is why it is so important to put sensible limits on state spending so we can provide tax relief for Hoosier families, create good-paying jobs, and improve access to high quality education.  If elected, I will promote an agenda of “putting Hoosier families first.”
