South Bend Common Council Grants Zoning Request to Charter School

On Monday night (June 9), the South Bend Common Council approved the zoning request for Xavier School of Excellence. Now the new charter school can continue with construction in preparation for the upcoming school year.
I addressed the Council in their committee meeting Monday afternoon, and I also attended the Council meeting later that night at which the rezoning request was unanimously approved.
Xavier School of Excellence will provide high quality school choice for our community, and it has been a privelege to serve as a board member for the school.
